  • End of Season

The official end of season competition and the evening prizegiving is behind us now.  What a great success once more.  I think the older kids do not get enough credit for how they look after the wee ones during the day.
The evening DO once more was enjoyed by everyone, it really is a pleasure to hand trophies over to the kids.
The under 6's intend to continue with their training every Saturday until July 7th.  This day will also be the adult competition, £5 to play and everyone should get at least 2 games.
We are trying to fund a number of new kits, so even if you don't want to play a contribution would be greatly appreciated.

  • Sat 10th

The weather forecast is as helpful as ever.  No rain every day except Friday when it will be heavy!  So my "let people know early" campaign is not working out.  I shall have a look at the pitch on Friday evening and make my best guess again.  If it means we play at BBHeath again then I shall text everyone on Friday evening.

  • Lost Property

Over the last couple of sessions I have picked up an aboandoned pair of goalie gloves and this week a silver (in colour that is) drinking bottle.  Come and see me if these belong to you.

  • 3rd March training

Saturdays session went really well.  There was just the right number to cover the cost of the pitches.  The weather was great, which made it a bit strange to be playing on the all weather surface.  Too late now, I have been trying to make the decision of where we play early so at least everyone can plan their weekend.  I think this should mean that less sessions are cancelled, but the downside is that we may have to pay a wee bit extra to play on the all weather pitches.  And of course we may play on the all weather when the school pitch is playable.

I have told some people that the end of the season tournament will be in early to mid May, this depends on the league games being completed.  I need confirmation of the kids names (spellings) for the trophies.  For those that don't know, the kids are sorted into teams, one from each age group.  They play a World Cup style tournament.  Then in the evening we have a disco and presentation ceremony.  So if you want your kid to get a trophy, you need to pay your registration fee now.  It will be too late once the trophies have been ordered.

  • FA Charter Status

Our football club has officially achieved FA charter status.  This is great for all concerned, it means that all the coaches have achieved at least level one FA coaching standard.  For more details and to get a clear picture of what this means for your kids visit the FA website and have a go at the FREE online course, click here SoccerParent

    Friday 02

The weather has done it again. I inspected the pitch at the school at 5pm. It was just about playable, but it had started to rain. By 6pm the rain was quite heavy, so I bit the bullet and booked 2 pitches at Broadbridge Heath. Lets hope we get 20 kids turn up.  I have sent a text message to all registered players, I have also let a couple of others know as well.
I am hoping that people eventually use this site to stay informed about the football.
